The success of this website continues, where we had 83 hits in one day in September 2002. Many visits from forward to many more visits to this site from you in the future. We welcome Rev'd Ian Swift an his wife Marian who have just arrived in the parish to take up the vacancy that had arisen, and we wish them all well for the future stay with us. For contacts with the church on most matters you can contact the church wardens: their addresses and phone numbers can be found in the front of the parish magazine or alternatively you could find them at the back of our church. Baptism usually takes place during the Family Service, but alternative arrangements may be made for another time. |

A warm welcome to Crosscrake A team ministry of Natland, Crosscrake, Old and New Hutton and Kendal Parish church has emerged. The history of other churches is included on this site and you can have a virtual tour round each church. However Preston Patrick is now linked to the Kirkby Lonsdale group of parishes and no longer has many connections with the Crosscrake. In this website you can read about our life, work and worship, as well as the history of Stainton's Mills and the surrounding area. We invite prayers for our parishes, for the well being of all those who live here - for the officials, church goers, for all those involved in the life of the church, and please remember our church schools and in them pupils, parents and teachers. Holy Land Pilgrimage aimed at teachers and families A summer Holy Land Pilgrimage aimed at teachers, parents and families leaves London Heathrow on 4 August this year. "Usually teachers and parents are unable to go on a shared pilgrimage in the high season, which is February to April and then October-November. So we have devised this summer programme around a special festival in Galilee and hope that it will have a real family feel to it," says leader and Radio 4 Thought for the Day presenter Revd Rob Marshall. Focusing on the Galilee region and Jerusalem - and taking in many of the sites associated with the ministry of Jesus, the pilgrimage also includes a celebration of the actual Feast of the Transfiguration on Monday 6 August on the mount of Transfiguration itself. The pilgrimage includes Nazareth, Cana and the Sea of Galilee churches. There will also be an opportunity to tour the Golan Heights. On Wednesday 8 August, the pilgrimage moves via Bethlehem to Jerusalem where all of the major sites included in the life of Jesus are covered. There is also an optional tour to Qumran, Masada and the Dead Sea. The pilgrimage is based in 4 star hotels with air conditioned coaches and uniquely provides an August departure date giving teachers and families a chance to consider this once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the joy and excitement of faith "on the move". Return scheduled flights, 4 star hotels, half board, all coach excursions (excluding Masada), entry fees etc for £1675. The pilgrimage returns on 12th August.
